Historical Research
Car designs have significantly changed over the years, from hand made vehicles that were once kept for a lifetime to mass produced vehicles made on production lines and updated every 5-10 years.
An important aspect of design is to carefully examine the historical events of car manufacturing to help identify where we have come from and where we are heading in our design and manufacture of future products and car designs.
Activity 1
Below are some images of car designs over time.
1. Discuss what is similar and what has changed in vehicular design.
2. What could be some of the reasons for these changes?
Record your response and share with the class.
